Akita

The Akita is a strong bodied, working class breed. It is also considered a dominant breed of dog. They have evolved into 2 separate breeds. The "American Akita" and the "Japanese Akita". They hail from the cold mountainous regions of Japan, so they are at home in cold weather. Akita's are both protective and highly territorial dogs.
